ABOUT THE BAND

The Earl Sanders Jr. Band

The Earl Sanders Jr. Band is from Brookshire, Texas, and delivers a sound that’s equal parts grit, groove, and tradition. Their music blends the best of outlaw country, old-school honky-tonk, and southern rock, drawing evident influence from legends like Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, David Allan Coe, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson. While classic and outlaw country remain at the heart of their live shows, fans can always count on a healthy dose of southern and Texas soul.

The band is led by brothers Jimmy, Bobby, and Doug Sanders, a trio born and raised on classic country and shaped by decades on the Texas live music scene. They’ve performed across the state in bars, dance halls, clubs, and private events—bringing high-energy, no-BS country music to every stage they set foot on.

  • Jimmy commands lead guitar and vocals, connecting with the crowd through every note.
  • Bobby drives the rhythm section on drums and harmonica, and brings the voice and energy of the live show.
  • Doug holds it all down with rhythm guitar and vocals—an imposing presence at the front of the stage that demands the crowd’s attention.

They’re backed by a talented rotation of musicians who help round out their full-bodied sound, including Erin Sanders (bass), Brandon Ordoyne and Bubba Gould (steel guitar), and CJ Young (lead guitar).

The Earl Sanders Jr. Band has released four independent albums and earned regional radio play in Houston, Conroe, and Bryan/College Station—all while staying rooted in the kind of music that raised them and still resonates with fans across Texas.
